Summer 2020 Grading Factors used to compute final course grade:

  1. Webassign hw (5%)
  2. 10 quizzes (20%). Quizzes will be given on Mondays and Thursdays when there is no exam scheduled. (Lowest quiz grade will be dropped before computing the quiz average.)
  3. Two one-hour in-class exams (25%). Exam 1 Monday 22 June, Exam 2 Monday 13 July
  4. Final exam (50%); Thursday 23 July 5-7:15pm.

Webassign HW Grade:

Your final webassign grade will be computed out of five points using the following scale:

  1. All 5 points if your average is between 75---100.
  2. 4 points if your final webassign average is between 66--74
  3. 3 points if your final webassign average is between 55---65.
  4. 2 points if your final webassign average is between 48---54.
  5. 1 point if your final webassign average is between 40---47.

How to purchase a discounted webassign access code for $77

If you purchased a webassign access code in math 190, that access code will remain valid in math 195. Do not purchase a new access code. Use your old math 190 code instead. Each student only needs to purchase one access code for both math 190 and math 195, no matter how many times he/she retakes these courses.

If you have not already purchased an access code, you can purchase one for $77 by scrolling to the bottom of this link. Be careful! There are two options on this page. Do not purchase Cengage Unlimited unless you want to spend more money. All you need for this course is to buy is the access code for $77 at the bottom of the page. The access code remains good even if you need to take math 195 multiple times. All you need is to purchase one access code. If you have not already purchased an access code, you should take advantage of the free trial before purchasing in case you need to drop the course.

If you are taking other courses outside the math dept. that also use webassign, then Cengage Unlimited may save you money? You should then compute what is the best value for your semester.
