Abstract
I will discuss a set of objects common in several places in mathematics, including algebra, representation theory, combinatorics and number theory, and give some recent classification and characterization results which involve an interplay of methods. The talk will be designed to be interactive, and student participation is highly encouraged. This is based in part on joint work with a former PhD student of the author, G.D. Koffi.
