Abstract
Using Complex Analysis, there is a widely-utilized way to define the product of certain sequences of real numbers which tend to infinity. I will discuss this methodology and give in detail an example coming from the sequence of eigenvalues of a Laplacian on a torus. Further examples will be described, including an ongoing proposed research project with B. Santoro.
