Abstract
Basic geometric invariants like the systole, Cheeger constant, volume, and diameter of a closed, Riemannian manifold provide important information about a Riemannian metric. In this talk, I will discuss some recent work on the behavior of the systole of arithmetic hyperbolic 2- or 3-manifolds. This talk is based on joint work with Benjamin Linowitz, Paul Pollack, and Lola Thompson.
