Abstract
In this talk I will explain the proof of the existence of measures of maximal dimension for hyperbolic systems. These are measures for which the set typical orbits has the maximal possible Hausdorff dimension. Surprisingly, these measures are in general not unique (see the example of M. Rams). At the end of the talk I will address the question of finiteness and outline a possible proof.
