NSF Analysis program awards grant to Sergiy Merenkov

Prof. Sergiy Merenkov received a single-investigator National
Science Foundation grant from the Analysis program of the Division
of Mathematical Sciences. 
The project, "Uniformization of non-uniform geometries"
deals with random surfaces and fractals. Particularly, it addresses
the uniformization of random surfaces that are spread over the
sphere, and simultaneous quasiconformal welding with applications
to dynamical systems.
