New Faculty Member Dr. Keino Brown for Fall 2023

The Department of Mathematics at CCNY is pleased to welcome Dr.
Keino Brown as a Lecturer of Mathematics, effective Fall 2023.
Dr. Brown
completed his doctoral degree in Mathematics from the CUNY Graduate
Center in 2023. His research lies in geometric group theory,
combinatorial group theory, and low-dimensional topology. He has
both a Master's degree in Mathematics and an undergraduate degree
in Mathematics from CCNY. He has experience teaching mathematics
across a broad range of courses at multiple institutions in New
York. He is joining our department after being a Lecturer at
Guttman Community College since 2015, where he worked to develop
curriculum using online resources and freely- available materials
and served as a mentor for his students in his capacity as a
Lecturer of Mathematics. Dr. Brown looks forward to continuing that
kind of work at CCNY.
