    Natasa Sesum (Rutgers University), PDEs and geometric applications

    I will discuss some theory of PDE's in the talk such as the heat equation and its fundamental solution. After that we will see a simple application of the PDE theory to one of the geometric flows called the curve shortening flow. The talk is directed to the undergraduate students.
