Abstract
The nonlinear Maxwell-Klein-Gordon equations are a system of wave equations that belong in the area of classical gauge field theories. In this talk, I will derive the asymptotic behavior of small amplitude solutions that carry charge focusing on the case of a massive Klein-Gordon field. The proof is based on the geometric invariance of the field equations and on gauge independent generalized energy estimates. If time permits, I will also discuss a decay estimate of the solutions for the case of large initial data.
