Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s of Science degree with the Department of Mathematics at City College of New York and applying for PhD programs. I have a vast interest in areas of Mathematics. For the summer of 2016, I participated in a two-week graduate school program at MSRI Character Theory. This was an amazing experience and most certainly a life changing one, not only personally but academically. At present time, my objectives are to continue to focus on my study groups with my fellow classmates and planning events for Association of Women in Mathematics as its President. This fall, I will have the honor to teach math 19500 at City College of New York. My love for teaching extends back to my time as an upperclassmen undergraduate student at University of Puerto Rico, where I taught Accounting and I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with my students and passing on my learnings. On a personal note, some of my favorite hobbies include dancing salsa, running, and playing frisbee with my dog. A quote from Groucho Marx: "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read."
