Math 20100: Calculus I
Supervisor: Bianca SantoroLimits, derivatives, rules of differentiation, trigonometric functions and their derivatives, differentials, graph sketching, maximum and minimum problems, related rates, antidifferentiation, Riemann sums, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, and techniques of substitution in integrals. Prerequisite: grade of C or higher in Math 19500 or placement by the Department. Credit will be given for only one of the following courses: Math 20100 or 20500. (Part of sequence 20100, 20200, 20300.) 4 hr./wk.; 3 cr.

Essential Calculus, 2nd edition by James Stewart, 2012, Cengage, with WebAssign online homework system. Students are required to purchase access to the digital text through Cengage Publishing. You may do so in two ways:
