Math 18000: Quantitative Reasoning
Supervisor: Rochelle RingInvestigation of the basis for elementary operations in concrete situations, diagrams, and symbolic representation. Understanding of, and problem-solving in, the following areas: numerical operations, ratios and percents, linear and exponential growth in situations, formulas, and graphs; rate of change; mensurational geometry; units, dimension, and scaling. Prereq.: placement by the Department. 4 hr./wk.; 3 cr.
